Playlist Sorter is a free tool made by John Bowditch. It exists because Spotify lets you view a playlist in a different order, but never lets you actually save that order — so anyone following your playlist sees whatever order you last left it in.

It is particularly aimed at curators and tastemakers, who want their newest additions sitting at the top where followers will hear them first, without asking every listener to sort by Recently Added themselves.

Sorting never changes the Date Added on a track, so a playlist can always be re-sorted a different way later.
